UPDATE: ABC NEWS have now changed their report, without even noting the change in the update time of the article, which remains 9:20. It seems the corporate media are perfectly happy to cover up their own mistakes with no acknowledgement whatsoever.
USA Today has now reported Ventura’s denial, a story which includes ABC News’ original headline, which has now been amended with a question mark, as has the text of the story with no notification of the change.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) is sticking to his drive to impeach President Bush.
Few in the House of Representatives have any intention of doing anything with the last 35 articles of impeachment Kucinich set before them last month, so the former presidential candidate appears to be lightening the load. Kucinich sent a letter to colleagues Tuesday asking them to support a single article of impeachment, to be introduced Thursday, which accuses President Bush of leading the country to war based on lies.

OK, John McCain and Barack Obama are both statists — believers in the power of big government. But the new McCain ad reveals this to a tee. It’s all about “public service,” and it ends with this tag line: “Don’t hope for a better life, vote for one.” (Hat tip to Andrew Sullivan.) Libertarians and traditional conservatives believe that government should be strictly limited and that we don’t vote for a better life, but to elect officials who run some basic government services. One creates a better life through hard work and initiative, not through the ballot box. We perhaps can vote for officials who are less apt to give us a worse life through more government control, but it’s a delusion to think that the public’s happiness is created through voting and government. Obama believes a lot of this same nonsense with his “change” motto, but McCain’s message is even worse. It’s not surprising for a lifelong government employee.

Bush for Murder, which has sold a quite remarkable 130,000 copies.
